The Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation reports that as of 9:30 am this morning, the cruise ship “Saint Laurent” is in Eisenhower Lock and will remain there until salvage plans are defined. The ship is stable and passengers remained onboard overnight. Inspectors from the SLSDC and the U.S. Coast Guard continue to assess the situation. Seven commercial vessels are currently delayed. Navigation remains suspended until further notice. The cause of the incident is not yet determined. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
